Uganda National Association of Builders, Suppliers and Engineering Contractors (UNABSEC) represents more than 420 companies including Uganda’s leading contractors dealing in civil, building, electrical, and mechanical works, sub-contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers. 

 

Regarded as the “voice” of the construction industry, UNABSEC is the most visible organization in Uganda actively advocating for the construction industry.

From activities affecting contractors’ participation in public procurement to policy and legal matters affecting the sector, UNABSEC regularly lobbies Government on behalf of her members to ensure fair and transparent practices in the construction business.

Over 370+ papers were submitted to policymakers between 2019 and 2022.

Representation

UNABSEC is the recognized umbrella body for genuine players in Uganda’s Construction Contracting Sector. We represent our members on various relevant committees including the Construction Industry Development Committee (CIDC) under the Ministry of Works and Transport, among others.

Meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Planning, and Economic Development on 27th July 2022 on matters of the National Local Content Bill.
